I keep track of Frank. He's still very much "around". Did a UK tour in May this year. I think he's doing another one next year.
He'll be 80 in November this year. Big party coming up.

These were my thoughts when I watched it a couple of year back...

UP JUMPED A SWAGMAN (1965) - an actor he ain't, but Frank Ifield is happily surrounded by a shed load of familiar talent that would perk up any jaded Roobarbarian. The songs aren't great, but none irritate, the plot is akin to the fantasy of Cliff Richards' WONDERFUL LIFE, (but not as coherent!), and sheer age has added a patina of interest to the mid-60s world interpreted here. Gerald Harper pops up, (dubbed to my ears), early on - and his ADAMANT co-star Juliet Harmer gets uncredited seconds too, (another tv pairing is of Mr and Mrs Kublia Khan from DOCTOR WHO, MARCO POLO: Martin Miller is scattered throughout, while Claire Davenport tops and tails the film). Not essential, but pleas
