      Stand-in

Joan Stonehouse - For Liz Fraser

The random children are probably either watching the Chimp's Tea Party or attending the exhibition.

This film is on Eric Kent and John Moyce's CV, i didn't spot them.

Tony Benson is better known as Tony Mendleson.

Madame Yang is better known as Marie Yang, IMDb have entries for both names.

Movie Dude's Unknown Male 10 is a Man at Beauty Treatment Show in this, he may be named George Feasey but i haven't been able to confirm yet.

Movie Dude's Unknown 92 is a Wine Taster in this, his name is either Harry Belcher or Mike Connor, but which one?

            Stand In

Joy Adams - for Dilys Laye

Thanks to Dean Barker (Deansid8787) of The Whippet In forum on Facebook (highly recommended!) for information and the credit for Pauline Scott who was a former Tiller girl

IMDb have Norman Coburn as a Wireless Operator, that role is played by Movie Dude's Unknown Male 115, maybe Norman's scene was deleted, they also have Alan Harris, i didn't see him.

Ian Wilson is a historic credit always listed in the Quinlans Guides again maybe a deleted scene.

I didn't spot those on the bottom line but the film is on their CV's, there is a Beauty Contest scene that was filmed and deleted, they could have been in that, indeed so could Alan Harris and Ian Wilson.

Tony Benson is better known as Tony Mendleson

John Bailey is the background artiste not the character actor

Unknown Male 132 is a Steward, he often played waiters, he may be called Bob Feeney

Unknown Male 92 plays a passenger, he is either Harry Belcher or Mike Connor, we know Mr Belcher was a stuntman, i haven't seem UM92 in action scenes so probably Mike Connor but can't be certain.

Unknown Male 43 plays a passenger, he was known to his colleagues as Irish John the Teapot because he was always brewing tea

Unknown Male 29 plays a passenger, Gerald Lovell calls him Gerald Lawson's dad

Unknown Female 35 plays a passenger, she is either Vi Endean, Winnie Wiblin or Helen Cleverley

I wouldn't be surprised if Jack Armstrong was in the cast somewhere it is unusual to seee his wife Alicia without him

I don't know what Prunella Smith looks like, she was married to Harold Coyne, she would have been 20 when it was filmed

I don't know what Joan Stonehouse looked like, either i guess she probably played one of the passengers as well

Thanks for your interest George, Prunella was born in 1942 and her first film was 1958 The Naked Truth, she would have been 15/16 then, she married veteran background artiste Harold Coyne in 1963 according to Harold's IMDb page, she appeared in at least 400 film or TV episodes including The Avengers and The Saint, her last film was 1997 Fierce Creatures, it is understandable that she doesn't have an IMDb page as she was never credited, this unfortunately bars her from having an entry to that site. I dont know what she looked like but as far as Carry on films go she was also in Nurse and Cowboy. I think this forum's Gerald Lovell has spoken to her.

Thanks for the extra info although still surprised she don't have an IMDB page.Don't think the likes of James Payne Pauline Chamberlain Jill Godston were ever credited in a film

It's a crazy rule and supposedly all those without a credit will eventually have their page systematically removed unless they appeared in pre-1940's films.

I haven’t heard that. Where did you hear it?
I’m on the IMDb’s list of regular contributors & usually get notified about anything major like that.

AIUI if you submit someone uncredited even for a pre-1940s appearance the keep a record of them, they just don’t show them in the main web interface.

I don’t think Hyma Beckley was ever credited and he has a page. Jill Goldston was credited several times and Pauline once.

As someone who has been collating the film careers of our extras for several years and who created the IMDB page for amongst others Jack Sharp and Josie Grant, I hope there are no plans to wipe these records!
