  • British TV play from circa 1978 - probably a Play For Today

This was a comedy play about a wealthy London family who hire a nanny to take care of their new baby and the nanny is utterly hopeless and drives them all mad with her ineptitude. I remember a scene of her taking the baby to the Christening and driving straight past them at the church.

    Ring any bells?

Nanny's Boy? Part of the Jubilee strand of single plays from 1977. Though Genome makes that sound more like a drama than a comedy.

Thank you for responding, Lenny. But it's not that. The nanny was a young girl and the nanny in Nanny's boy was about 70 in 1977.
