'Dial 999' Avengerland episode guide now up and running - still lots of unidentified locations to find

  • #2
Some great research has been undertaken here to discover many of the filming locations for Dial 999, which I always thought was filmed on location in central London to appeal to potential American buyers. However, it was a pleasant surprise to find that that lots of location filming also took place in Borehamwood, Shenley, Letchmore Heath and Elstree, at places that would appear some years later in The Avengers and various ITC series.

Dial 999 was financed by ABC Television and produced by Towers of London, who was owned by the American producer Harry Alan Towers, who several years earlier had spent some time running ATV Television, until Lew Grade discovered some anomalies in accounting.
